Version 4 of the Galaxy II Grand Piano collection is on the way and will ship in March 2010. Galaxy II.4 is based on the new Kontakt 4 engine by Native Instruments, presenting new features, better performance and a completely redesigned direct access user interface. Version 4 offers true half pedaling, true repedaling and dynamically playable pedal, damper and string noises when using a continuous sustain pedal. Additional resonance release and noise samples have been added and all 30GB of samples have been revised and enhanced. Galaxy Pianos’ Version 4 takes the Galaxy II Grand Piano Collection to an new level.

Every Galaxy II user is eligible for an upgrade to Galaxy II.4 for 59€ ($69).

Upgrade conditions for users of Galaxy Download Editions will be announced in March.

The Model D-274 by Steinway is very likely not only the most popular concert grand, but also one of the most acknowledged ones. Bauer Studios' Vintage D was built in 1920 in Hamburg, the German factory of Steinway & Sons. Over almost 90 years this instrument has achieved a very deep and intimate timbre, thus providing an energetic personaltiy and a beautiful singing tone, typical for great Steinway grand pianos. Some of the best pianists have recorded legendary albums on this 1920 Steinway D, among them Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Carla Bley, Guillermo and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Abdullah Ibrahim, Wolfgang Dauner and many others.
